Fledgling

Sit next to me, my little one
And keep me company
It's quiet in the attic, here
With room for you and me

We'll hold each other in the night
And sleep away the sun
No point in eating breakfast, love
Food's not that much fun

Doubtless you've some questions
As to your present state
Though I'll tell you everything
I'm afraid you'll have to wait

How long, you ask? What do we care
When we've got every night?
Now hush, my love. I know... don't cry.
Everything's alright.
